In this role, you'll work alongside experienced chefs to assist in food preparation and kitchen operations. Daily tasks may include but not limited to

  • Assist in food preparation tasks, such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients, under the guidance of experienced chefs.
  • Assist in cooking and assembling menu items according to established recipes and guidelines, ensuring food quality and presentation standards are met.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including equipment cleaning, dishwashing, and sanitization of work areas.
  • Support chefs and other kitchen staff as needed, including fetching ingredients, monitoring cooking times, and following instructions.
  • Assist in inventory control tasks, such as stock rotation, restocking, and organizing storage areas, to ensure ingredients are readily available for use.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and company policies at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and colleagues.

Applicants require

  • No previous experience or formal qualifications required; willingness to learn and develop culinary skills on the job.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils preferred, but not essential.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the resort's operations.
  • Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and company policies.
