Senior Currency Officer Te tūranga - The role We currently have an opportunity within the Money and Cash group here at Te Pūtea Matua based in our Wellington office. The work that the Money and Cash department contributes to is critical to our continued focus on operational excellence and integrity and leads both the thinking and the doing across issues that the Money and Cash system are responsible for.As the Senior Currency Officer you will support the coordination of people and objects in and out of the secure zone, planning and business performance relating to cash processing, custody and distribution. Ō pūkenga - About you To be successful in this role you'll have:
- An effective collaborative approach that draws on the knowledge and skills of colleagues and other stakeholders, with the ability to influence to achieve high-quality outcomes
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with a particular eye for detail
- The ability to effectively communicate through both written and verbal means and effectively make decisions
- A strong working knowledge of currency operations and related procedures
- The ability to work with inventory management systems, and manage financial and cash reconciliations
- An understanding of good administrative practices.
