DTP Specialist

We are the primary contractor for large-scale projects commissioned by esteemed entities such as the European Commission, the European Central Bank, the European Parliament, the United Nations, the OECD, and the European Court of Justice.
We are committed to pushing the boundaries of technology and providing top-notch solutions to our clients. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a DTP Specialist, for our offices in Athens.
The DTP (Desktop Publishing) Specialist role in Translation industry answers to tasks concerning file preparation, either during the translation activity or final delivery to the client.
Projects are separated in two main categories:
a) OCR (Optical Character Recognition): the early stage and refers to the conversion of non-editable files into editable, so that the translators can elaborate them in different CAT tools, and
b) DTP (Desktop Publishing): creation of documents using typography rules using page layout software.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Convert non-editable files (pdf, jpeg, etc.) into editable (word, idml, etc.) in order to start the task of translation (OCR).
Using DTP software to produce a layout for each page of the publication.
Prepare files in excellent textual format in order to be translated.
Process images, graphs, etc. in order to have the translated text into the each target language.
Design leaflets, brochures, cards, etc. that answers to company’s marketing plan.
Requirements:
A DTP operator should:
great knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
great knowledge of Adobe Suite 2020
have excellent computer skills and knowledge
pay attention to detail
be creative, with an eye for good design
be able to prioritise a varied workload
work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
