In this key leadership role you will guide, promote and develop the services of Industrial Regulatory in the South Island to achieve the current and future business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow the business through identification of business opportunities across the South Island Region
- Maintaining key accounts within the area through relationship building and business development strategies.
- Take accountability for and lead the growth and efficiency of your regions Regulatory business.
- Conduct Surveys (statutory and non-statutory) in a safe manner and in compliance of SGS, customers and Work Safe requirements and regulations (expected to be around 50% of the time commitment for this role).
- Create a culture of high performance, teamwork and customer service through effective leadership and communication, to maximise utilization of teams.
- Effectively and efficiently manage regional teams of inspectors, technicians and engineering surveyors to meet operational requirements - from scheduling, execution through to timesheets and invoicing meeting business processes.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Science or Engineering with practical experience from within the Engineering sector, preferably in Technical Services roles.
- Ability to lead high performing teams of engineering/technical specialists and administrators.
- Exposure to financials ie finance for non-finance essential.
- Extensive industry experience with a thorough understanding of statutory and safety requirements.
- Have the relevant CBIP qualifications for this position (ideally a minimum of two CBIP qualifications and signatory status).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - is able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication setting and can get messages across that have the desired effect.
- A full and current New Zealand driver license.
Ideally this position is for someone with CBIP recognitions in Pressure Vessels, Cranes and Welding or International Equivalent.
