The Role
This is a wonderful opportunity to further your career and utilise your experience as a Team Leader at Synlait’s state of the art Pokeno site.
Working in our Chemistry laboratories this is a hands on role providing strong guidance and leadership to a newly established team in a multi-department and multi-site environment across the business.
The role reports to the Chemistry Manager and its responsibilities includes
- Leadership of 8 direct reports
- Ensuring the laboratory is operating efficiently, maximising resources and ensuring continuity of service
- Research and Implementation of new process and practises for your team to implement continuous improvement solutions.
- Providing daily results, notifications to the manufacturing and management teams
Key to your success will be your proactive response to leadership and your ability to build strong and supportive relationships with internal and external teams.
Skills and Experience
Please be aware this is a Monday to Friday role that looks after a team of direct reports on a working 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off roster.
To be considered for this role will require
- Proven Team leadership/supervisory experience
- Strong experience in regulated laboratory environments
- Knowledge of laboratory testing and equipment calibration and hygiene practise
- The ability and enthusiasm to lead and learn proactively
- Pride in your work and the accomplishments you achieve
A tertiary education in Science or Technology is highly regarded in this role
