Health & Safety Officer

Flexistaff-Ashbourne, Irlanda

Our client is one of the largest contractors supplying Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment across Ireland. They provide both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) services. They are experts in installation of equipment to a wide customer base across numerous sectors.

The role of Health & Safety Officer is to primarily based in their Ashbourne office, but some travel will be required.

  • What does this role require from you?_
  • Drive continuous improvement: Maintain and develop our H&S systems, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Be a communication champion: Effectively communicate H&S policies, procedures, and updates to all levels of the organisation.
  • Identify and manage risks: Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Train and empower: Deliver engaging and informative H&S training to staff, ensuring the team have the knowledge and skills to work safely.
  • Investigate and learn: Analyse incidents and accidents, promoting proactive measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Stay informed and proactive: Monitor legal requirements, industry best practices, and technological advancements to optimise their H&S approach.
  • Collaborate and lead: Work closely with the site team to ensure accurate and up-to-date H&S documentation.
  • Requirements:_
  • Third level qualification in Health & Safety is required.
  • Relevant knowledge of all H&S guidelines.
  • Qualifying experience of working in a similar role.
  • Confident at delivering training to a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Full clean drivers licence required.
  • Manual handling trainer and working at heights trainer experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of RAMS

Hours of work:

  • Monday - Friday

  • Salary in negotiable depending on experience.
