Quality Assurance Tester

Summary of Client:
Our client is a leading ASEAN Insurance and Takaful provider under a leading banking conglomerate in ASEAN that offers a full range of Life and General conventional insurance products.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches.
In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand system requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with IT and business to develop effective strategies and test plans.
  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results.
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams.
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Tester or similar role.
  • Experience in test script documentation and execution.
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
  • Working knowledge of test automation software (e.g. Selenium, qTest, Katalon).
  • Some knowledge of SQL.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Other information:

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM
  • 12 months contract - renew annually (T&C apply)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
