About the role:
We are now looking for engineer to strengthen our Risk Advisory Services section in Poland. You will be part of an engaged group driven by people’s competence and motivation to help and support our customers through consistent delivery of high-quality services. In Risk Advisory Services Poland we work with DP systems, safe return to port assessments, maintenance management advisory, maritime power engineering consultancy, domain knowledge expertise support teams from different Business Areas.
The Advisory Maritime (M-SA) consists of departments, located across different locations (Gdynia, Hamburg, Oslo (Høvik), Singapore, Dubai, US, China, Greece, Australia). The offer is based in Gdynia location.

In the positions you will:
- Perform risk assessments (FME(C)A, HAZOP, HAZID) of power and control systems for ship and offshore new building and conversion projects (including DP FMEA consultancy, marine & offshore power engineering, safe return to port analysis, maintenance management review, attendance in sea trials and workshop in client's premises);
- Contribute with the domain knowledge expertise (power and control) in various projects handled in Maritime Advisory
- Participate in consultancy services in your competence field with various clients from maritime business
- Perform survey on ships (including sea trials) and in manufacturers premises
- Act as the team member and project manager for the deliverables towards external Clients
- Participate in the cross-business areas projects together with team members from other locations
Participate in face-to-face meetings and workshops with customers and handle communication with clients, spoken and written. Activities include (but not limited to):
Collect and organize documentation required for risk assessment process. Drive the schedule, ensuring documents are delivered on time
- Facilitate meetings, including meetings with shipyard and owners, workshops with suppliers and technical review meetings of open remarks
- Coordinate with shipyard and relevant team members to schedule and perform pre-trial and trial activities
- Follow open comments, ensure action plans are understood by responsible parties
- Monitor progress of action plans and report possible risks to critical aspects
- Present progress reports to management and relevant stakeholders
- Ensure that the risk assessment process and our reports comply with relevant quality standards and regulations
- Respond to comments in a consistent and methodical way
- Identify and facilitate implementation of improvements to the risk assessment process and related documents, suppliers etc. to increase efficiency and quality
Position report to Head of Risk Advisory Services Poland
Travel activities on urgent and unpredictable basis is to be expected (<25% of time)
