Field Manager

Description:
JJ Horticulture Ltd. is a horticulture contracting company based in the Bay of Plenty region.

We require a full-time Field Manager to perform a range of tasks involving the management and control of field/site operations associated with the contracted client sites under our management.

Day-to-day *responsibilities will include*:

• Develop and implement field/site management plans, including health and safety protocols, client service/management schedules, quality control plans and other operational plans and schedules to ensure contracted responsibilities are met.
• Implement and manage budgets associated with operations, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Assist with the management of relationships with external parties, including vendors, suppliers, and clients.
• Manage recruitment, induction, training, and performance of staff.
• Manage and supervise teams of staff, acting as the primary point of contact for the supervisors allotted to each team.
• Collaborate with field staff to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Research and implement new practices, technologies, and equipment to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Maintain accurate records and data related to operations, including production yields, crop quality, and expenses, and report to Director(s) on outcomes.

Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification in management, business administration, commerce or similar discipline (NZ or Overseas); or
• At least 1 year of relevant/transferable experience, such as experience in business management, HR management, admin management, or similar.
• Willing to work evenings and on weekends depending on client requirements.
• Willing to work in rural settings, in all types of whether.
• Clear police record.

Pay range: $32 to $35 per hour, depending on experience.

Hours: As this is a full-time position, you will be guaranteed a minimum 30 hours per week but will likely be required to work approximately 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
