We have an exciting contract job opportunity for a Planning and Reporting Engineer to join our valuable client in the Oil and Gas industry. It is a fixed term contract duration of 15 -18 months.
Projects Description
We have recently signed EPC Contracts for two “100 MW dual-fuel generation asset Power Plant” projects. Each project will consist of five (5) gas reciprocating engines exporting power to the grid via an adjacent 110 kV connection. The Projects will use natural gas as its primary fuel with gas oil as a back-up in the event of interruption to the gas supply.
- You will be expected at a construction site during construction to monitor all stages of work and provide reports. You will work full-time with other construction professionals such as site managers, Technical Office Managers, and site engineers to ensure a project runs on schedule and with sufficient materials and construction equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate project reports and distribute them to project stakeholders.
- Monitoring and tracking project progress, and writing up reports.
- Attending and scheduling meetings as required.
- Responsible for delivering the project reports, including developing various report formats, dashboards, presentations and others, as required by the project team.
- Plans and coordinate with stakeholders as necessary to achieve project reporting objectives.
- Assist Technical Office Manager on monitoring tasks not limited to data analysis, what if scenarios, identify bottle necks, critical items, claim avoidance strategy and assist follow-up with stakeholders.

- Contractor reports and provide constructive comments for improvement and enhance the report quality and presentation.
- Supports Client Leaders with information needed to update the business partners.
- Responsible for maintaining the Project Management Information System (PMIS) to support report generations.
- Responsible for managing the project reporting requirements, achieve project objectives and escalate issues to Project leadership as necessary.
- Should be able to read, understand standard to complex project documents, including but not limited to - agreements/contracts, weekly reports and monthly reports.
- Coordinates project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements. Ensures project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated.
- Ability to perform Project Controls tasks and able provide leave covers for the planners to seamlessly meet the project deliverables in their absence.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, or a related field experience.
- 5-7 years of Planning and Reporting experience.
- Detailed knowledge of best practice solutions for data management.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Data relationships and Data querying.
- Automate & simplify processes around data collection, conversion and querying.
- Digital Reporting using Oracle, Procore, Power BI, PMWeb and others.
- Strong working knowledge on MS Office.
- Hands on experience in Primavera is essential
- Demonstrated knowledge of projects and program management.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the project documents.
- Ability to understand effectively to the most sensitive issues.
- Assist in writing reports, manuals, procedures and articles using distinctive style. Ability to prepare effective presentation on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups.
- Possession of great work ethic, high degree of integrity, and willingness to put in the hours whenever needed.
- High organization skills and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to manage own time.
- Ability to work & perform under pressure.
