A position has become available in the Company for a

Full Time General Operative

• We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Operative to join our Warehouse Team on a full-time basis._
• The position will be 39 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, working the afternoon/evening shift, with an attractive starting rate and an opportunity to further progress. The position is based in Mallow, Co. Cork, at Barry Group Head Quarters._

Role Purpose:
The role requires you to handle goods/stock in a manner that will improve the company’s efficiency and result in outstanding customer service.

The work involves handling stock through the Supply Chain, from Goods Inwards, Replenishing and Merchandising, Order Picking, Wrapping Stock and Loading for Delivery.

All employees in the Warehouse have responsibility for implementing and maintaining the rules, regulations and policies as defined by the Company on an ongoing basis.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate a scanner and a motorized truck.
• Ensure that product is picked to correctly meet order requirements and is rotated correctly with reference to batch

numbers and dates.
- Ensure that picked pallets are built in a stable manner to meet customer specifications, to avoid damage in transit

and allow optimum truck loading.

• Assist in the overall operation of the warehouse. - Ensure all quality, hygiene and health & safety policies are adhered to including manual handling practices. - Comply with all health & safety procedures.
• Be aware of HACCP requirements and ensure that they are fulfilled (cleaning policy).
• Carry out the Company’s Waste Management Policy.
• Assist in any ad-hoc duties where necessary. - Arrive to work in a clean and presentable manner at all times. - Always wear safety shoes and Hi-Viz vest.
• Functional, hands-on experience in Warehouse Operations.
• An understanding of Supply Chain functions. - Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A strong focus on quality customer service. - Be capable of working well on one’s own as well as part of the warehouse team. - Be flexible in their availability.

_ Desirable Qualifications:_

• Valid Power Pallet Certificate. - Valid Forklift Certificate; Counterbalance and Reach
