We are seeking to appoint an energized, passionate and experienced Vendor Assurance Manager into our business. This is a newly created position that will be a pivotal part in the supply chain by proactively managing relationships and compliance with our Suppliers.
You will join our experienced and highly motivated Food Safety and Quality team. The Vendor Assurance Manager will collaborate closely with our R&D, procurement and production teams to ensure specifications for raw materials are being met, report and support with resolution for non conformances in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an approval process for new vendors.
- Develop a review process for existing vendors.
- Be the key Food Safety and Quality contact for supplier communication.
- Implement, review and maintain the annual raw material testing program for ZIWI.
- Ensure the ingredient approval process is reviewed and maintained.
- Provide regular reporting for Supplier performance reviews.
- Support new innovation where new ingredients and or supplier will be introduced.
Key requirements:
- Degree qualified in Food Science / Technology or similar
- Food Safety and HACCP
- Previous experience in a procurement role essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels
- Strong attention to detail is a must
- Technical understanding and practical commercial experience
- A collaborative hands-on approach and can positively influence change across all levels
- Experience in Continuous Improvement would be advantageous
