HI Partners is seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Portfolio Officer to join a prestigious financial firm in Luxembourg. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the portfolio management team in managing our alternative investment portfolios.
As a Junior Portfolio Officer, you will support the team in conducting investment research, monitoring portfolio performance, and preparing reports and presentations. You will assist in analyzing investment opportunities and making investment recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting investment research and analysis
  • Assist the AIFM's valuation committee in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for valuation reviews and controls.
  • Participate in the investment process by conducting a thorough evaluation of investment opportunities and assessing their suitability for each product. Take charge of organizing the Investment Committee and ensure that all necessary documentation and materials are collected and prepared.
  • Support the team in making investment recommendations
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date portfolio records and documentation
  • Analyze data for each product for periodic external reporting, including regulatory and commercial reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth portfolio operations
  • Monitor the performance and compliance of each product's portfolio.
  • Prepare deviation analyses and product dashboards.
  • Prepare cash flow projections and monitor budgets.
  • Support in the onboarding and integration of new transactions / products onto the portfolio management platform in close collaboration with Product and Transaction teams.
  • Handle and regularly assess the liquidity of intricate Real Estate vehicles to ensure timely fulfillment of financial obligations.
  • Responsibilities include preparing and coordinating capital events, such as capital calls, redemptions, and distributions. This will involve close collaboration with Investor Services and external transfer agents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
  • Strong interest in alternative investments
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in a comparable position or in the field of alternative investments in Luxembourg.
  • Basic knowledge of portfolio management principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organizational skills
