THE OPPORTUNITY:
The purpose of the Research and Insights Analyst role is to provide accurate information about our audiences and advertisers to gain insight into consumer behaviour, and gain a competitive advantage across our brands. Using the leading market research tools, you will be responsible for providing market insights, managing the research brief process, and helping develop strong messaging to demonstrate NZME’s strength in the market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):
- Provide NZME with relevant, understandable practical and timely insights and information on consumers, advertisers, competitors.
- Uncover consumer and market insights that drive revenue generating solutions.
- Provide high levels of customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Assist with updating the business on audience performance using visualisation tools such as Power BI.
- Assisting the commercial team in prospecting using demographic tools such as Nielsen CMI and Ad Spend.
ABOUT YOU:
Ideally you will have 1-2+ years of proven success in a fast-paced media or research environment, with a particular focus on client relationships, B2B insights, sales & marketing or you’re a statistics/marketing graduate with a passion for data. If you’ve got experience with using media measurement tools such as Nielsen CMI and GfK Probe that would be an advantage.
This role needs someone with strong numeracy, good attention to detail and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. We need someone with outstanding, confident and engaging communication skills who’s highly motivated, accountable and customer-centric. You won’t be afraid to bring new ideas to the table and you’ll be a natural collaborator who thrives on working in a team.
