Accountant

Tupperware Hellas, an international company that manufactures, and internationally distributes preparation, storage, and serving containers for the kitchen and home is seeking to hire for the Sales Offices in Athens an ACCOUNTANT.

Position reporting to Accounting Manager

Key Areas of Responsibility:_**

• Perform general accounting entries (Suppliers’ communication, suppliers’ invoices, intercompany charges, reconciliation of accounts payables and receivables, payments, etc.).
• ** Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
• Reconciliation of assets, Greek and USGAAP.
• Preparation of expense reports, and execution of accounting entries (related transactions).
• Strong knowledge of balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Participation in Greek Statutory BS & P&L.
• Maintain the petty cash (payments of small amounts, not going through accounts payable).
• Maintain and Monitor all Purchase orders through procurement / workflow system (SSC).
• Pay Vendors (local and internationally), verifying appropriate VAT numbers required, schedules and prepare checks and / or bank deposits, resolve purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation. Maintain and reconcile the bank accounts and related transactions used for this purpose.
• Comply with financial policies and regulations.
• Responsible for updating & reconciliations of my data e-books.
• Prepare and submit of monthly Tax obligation to Greek tax authorities (VAT, Payroll taxes, etc.)
• Prepare and submit monthly Social Security’s obligations
• Comply with Financial policies and regulations
• Support the Finance Team on Monthly & Annual closing procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

• Studies in Finance, Accounting or Tax - University Level or TEI Diploma
• MBA degree will be helpful

• * 6 - 10 years of experience in similar position or other accounting or Finance position*:

• Experience in Financial Reporting Requirements

• Good command of the English language
• Knowledge of Greek laws and taxation
• Strong knowledge of balance sheets and profit/loss statements
