Marketing Coordinator

An exciting opportunity exists to join the team at Dicker Data. The *Marketing Coordinator *will support the marketing team and assist our business units and our vendors with promotion fulfillment, event management, and creating website content.

What you will do in this role:

  • Take ownership of the Marketing Requests inbox and ensure all tickets are responded to within the set SLA's and projects are owned end-to-end.
  • Brief projects into the Design Team and work closely with them to ensure SLA's are met
  • Manage change requests between the Business Units and the Design Team while ensuring all requests are reasonable and delivered within the set SLA's
  • Assist with job allocation and workload assignment between the design team
  • Provide support to the wider Dicker Data Marketing team as required.
  • Provide support on social media campaigns, and other marketing projects as required
  • Forging and fostering strong working relationships with our internal Business Units and our Vendors
  • Proofreading, copy editing, and checking all communications before sharing with the Business Units or publishing projects and/or campaigns
  • Identify process improvements and work with management to implement if approved

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Degree qualifications in a relevant field are preferred but not required
  • Advanced communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • High level of self-motivation, with resourcefulness and a willingness to learn
  • Proficient knowledge of modern social media platforms (LinkedIn/Facebook/Twitter)
  • Knowledge of public relations and marketing communications
  • Intermediate MS Office Applications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with key personnel across the business
  • A proactive orientation, with attention to detail
  • Respect, integrity, and the ability and desire to be a team player
  • Excellent time management skills
