- Coordinate and manage the maintenance of resources and activities on a day to day basis in line with the facilities-14days activity plan
- Ensure all maintenance activities of all pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and electronic apparatus associated with Instrument activities to ensure proper care and maintenance
- Conduct the testing, calibration and installation of instruments such as control valves, transmitter, indicators, switches and controllers. Ensure Control and Automation systems and instruments are maintained to the required standard.
- Ensure automation system backups are carried out and properly stored.
- Implement program and graphics modification as and when required to meet process requirements.
- Check and verify tagging of instruments prior to repairs, testing and inspection
- Provide necessary instructions on established work procedures and safety precautions
- Monitor and check all new installations and assess their acceptability based on instrument standards or manufacturer’s recommendation
- Ensure all activities and operations are carried out in line with existing safety rules and regulation and code of discipline, corporate policies and guidelines
- Contribute to Prepare the annual budgets for the Instrument maintenance section and monitor budgets on a periodic basis to control expenditure adhere to established budget
- Identify performance indicators in coordination with the Head of Instrument and Control to track performance
- Monitor the quality and cost effectiveness of the Instrument maintenance section using the identified performance indicators and identify opportunities to improve the business
- Develop staff training plan in conjunction with the Head of Instrument and Control to provide requisite training to all employees of Instrument and Control Section
- Ensure all cases of technical Integrity non-conformance are reported and updated reports are maintained through CMMS or the local Plant Tracking system as appropriate
- Implement initiatives focused towards the development of competent and motivated Omani work force
- Monitor and control all expenditure by tracking expenditures on a monthly basis to identify opportunities of cost reduction
- Provide requisite inputs and assistance in preparation of detailed shutdown and commissioning plans
- Identify and report operating variances outside the design limits and problems related to Technical Integrity
- Identify frequent tripping areas (supported by the equipment history in CMMS) and prepare, if required, Field change proposals to solve the problems
- Ensure that the quality, health, safety and environment related requirements as applicable to performing the role are met at all times
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures at all times as applicable to performing the role
- Undertake any responsibilities, as directed by the reporting manager in line with organizational objectives and targets for the I&C Maintenance section
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: Up to RO1,000.000 per month
