Job Description: Planning Engineer

Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, considering all relevant factors such as scope, resources, and dependencies. Ensure alignment with project objectives and client requirements.

Resource Allocation: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to allocate resources effectively, optimizing productivity and minimizing potential bottlenecks. Monitor resource utilization and make recommendations for adjustments as necessary.

Progress Monitoring: Implement robust progress monitoring systems to track project milestones, activities, and deliverables. Regularly update schedules, analyze deviations, and provide timely reports to stakeholders.

Critical Path Analysis: Conduct critical path analysis to identify key activities and milestones that significantly impact project duration. Develop strategies to optimize the critical path and mitigate schedule risks.

Risk Management: Proactively identify potential schedule risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize their impact on project timelines. Work closely with project teams to address schedule-related issues and constraints.

Change Management: Evaluate proposed changes to project scope, schedule, or resources and assess their impact on project timelines. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement approved changes while minimizing disruptions to the schedule.

Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate regular communication with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure alignment on project schedules and timelines. Provide timely updates on schedule performance and deviations.

Lessons Learned: Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for process improvement. Document best practices and recommendations for future projects.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to project scheduling and planning.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in planning and scheduling, preferably in the construction or town planning sector.

Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is essential.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret project data and identify trends.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Proven track record of successfully managing project schedules and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
