Overview:

  • Lead the development of conversion to renewable energy, usage reduction programs for OPCO and FOBO to deliver the pep+ Goals while building AOP / PSP performance improvement with glidepaths.
  • Subject matter expert for Climate and Energy Plank, technology opportunities and Recon programs
  • Leads the development and implementation of capability programs across AMESA to develop field expertise, inclusive of Recon, best practice share
  • Extend technical support on a needs basis for projects covering scope 3 (Fleet, Argo, FOBO, JV’s & Supply Chain (critical suppliers))

Responsibilities:
Performance Improvement, AOP delivery:

  • Lead the development of glidepaths for the Climate Pillar based on pep+ Goals
  • Develop and align with BU AOP targets, key initiatives and capex programs to support the improvement plans
  • Develop a best in class KPI for each location based on the global tools, identify the “gap” and work with field teams to develop improvement action plans to close the gap
  • Provide technical support for the execution of the BU improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with BU leads to ensure appropriation of CAPEX funds for pep+ goals.
  • Coordinate Recon Energy interventions with company owned operations.
  • Develop improvement plans, capability programs & track benefits for scope 3 projects for Value Chain Partners (3rd party manufacturing, supplier and Fleet)
  • Work closely with GP develop the vendor network for renewable energy, in compliance with regulations and market readiness.
  • Lead and drive productivity initiatives in support of AMESA productivity targets
  • Develop and Lead capability development programs for field teams.

Climate policy and strategy development

  • Collaborate with Global, Operations, Global Procurement and Sustainability leads to develop the climate strategy to deliver pep+ goals, focusing on energy source conversion, renewable opportunities, power purchasing agreements, CO2 offset mechanisms in addition to recon initiatives with best practice replication.
  • Lead the development of pep+ glidepath, capex and improvement tactics and ensure alignment within BU PSP plans.

Auditing
- Partner with the BU & Sustainability leads to verify on site:

  • Energy usage KPI’s (KWhr/Kg and KWHr/L)
  • GHG emission for company owned facilities + FOBO.
  • Develop a scorecard and communicate report findings at the at Sector and BU level.

Performance Management and Reporting

  • Establish key performance indicators and performance objectives and targets in relation to energy usage and CO2 impact, establishing management dashboards.
  • Develop and implement key processes for the capture of required data points in support of PWP commitments.
  • Partner with Sector/BU Agro / Fleet / GP teams to include CO2 tracking and mapping and develop specific questions for SFI survey to address the risk.
  • Work collaboratively with BU and other Sustainability leads to troubleshoot and address energy related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Operation experience (Production or Engineering) is highly desirable.
  • >10 years of strong Sustainability, Engineering or P&P Experience
  • Related Bachelor’s Degree (Environmental Engineer, Industrial or manufacturing engineering is preferred).
  • Experience in roll out tools and programs for large scale (multi-site) companies.
  • Must have analytical skills, drive for results, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Familiarity and comfort with working across varied, diverse, international cultures, high on collaboration and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High integrity, with personal commitment to Environmental performance and water stewardship
  • Willingness to travel internationally (estimated at >30%)
