Why do we need you?
- To support the EHS function in the delivery of a Safety and Environmental Management System that delivers our objective of zero harm
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure a high level of engagement and accountability for safety and environmental improvements
- To assist in ensuring that the operations are compliant with the appropriate Safety and Environmental regulations
- Ensure to comply to the Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance to legal and other requirements related to Environment, Health and Safety
- Undertake responsibility to report unsafe acts and incidents related to Environment, Health and Safety
- Undertake responsibility for achieving safety and environmental objectives
- Awareness of ISO 9001-14001:2015 - 45001:2018
- Assist in developing Safety behavior amongst operatives & staff
- Keeping records and support in the analysis of EHS statistics.
- Safety inspection of specific tools & equipment
- Assist in maintaining statutory safety and environmental training.
- Provide Safety inductions to all staff
- Incharge of maintenance & distribution of PPE.
- Assist in Site inspections and EHS audits
- Assist in the Environmental Pillar
- Support the promotion of EHS awareness amongst the factory staff and support organizing of events as appropriate.
- Liaise and maintain a cordial working relationship with relevant authorities
Is this job for you?
Qualifications:
- Training in Safety, Environmental Management or associated areas.
Experience
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment in the areas of safety, health or environment
