AutoCAD Draftsman Job Description
Key Responsibilities

1. Drafting and Design:

Produce detailed architectural and interior design drawings using AutoCAD software.
Under the instruction of the department lead, collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to translate concepts into accurate technical drawings.
Create 2D and 3D drawings, floor plans, elevations, and construction details.
Uphold design quality standards, ensuring all projects meet or exceed client expectations, industry regulations, and company benchmarks.

2. Software Proficiency:

Utilize AutoCAD for drafting tasks with proficiency and accuracy.
Demonstrate good knowledge of SketchUp for 3D modeling and visualization.
Utilize additional software skills in Revit or 3d Max for advanced modeling and rendering tasks.

3. Team Growth and Development:

Take ownership of personal growth and development by proactively seeking opportunities to enhance skills and expertise.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design.

4. Other Duties:

Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned or instructed by leadership to support the overall goals and mission of the company.

Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to design challenges.
Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
