New World Pioneer is a large format, locally owned and operated supermarket in Palmerston North. We employ a team of 200+ who pride themselves on delivering exceptional Customer Service. Our Bakery department is very progressive and we encourage and support our team to continually up-skill through instore training and apprenticeships.
To continue to offer our customers the best we are looking for Full time Baker with enthusiasm for the production of high-quality products.
The role will consist of:
- Preparation and baking of bread doughs from scratch
- Prepare and produce a range of other baked goods
- Heavy lifting of up to 25kgs
- Working with ovens and provers
- Maintain efficiency in daily production schedule
- Comply with our food control plan and health and safety programme
The successful applicant will have:

- Qualified baker
- Organisational and time management skills
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
- The ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Self-motivation and a positive, can-do attitude
- Attention to detail

- The legal right to work in New Zealand
Applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship or New Zealand Permanent Residency.
This is a full-time permanent position with 4am starts
