Furniture Draftsman (Manufacturing Base)

**Job Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed production drawings and technical specifications for the manufacturing of various furniture pieces
• Ensure furniture designs adhere to standard dimensions and utilize appropriate materials
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and translate those requirements into technical specifications
• Demonstrate knowledge of material selection and properties to recommend suitable options for furniture projects
• Create 3D models and detailed drawings using SketchUp to visualize and document the furniture designs
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including technical details and joinery specifications, to guide the production team
• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to optimize the furniture designs for manufacturing
• Maintain familiarity with the latest industry trends, materials, and production techniques

**Requirements:

• Proficient in using SketchUp for 3D modeling and design of furniture
• Strong understanding of standard furniture dimensions and common sheet/material sizes used in construction
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and understand their requirements
• Knowledge of appropriate material selection and properties for furniture projects
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, for documentation and reporting
• Preferred knowledge of AutoCAD for additional design and drafting capabilities
• Attention to detail and ability to provide accurate technical specifications and joinery details
