Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Make error-free entries into the accounting system, ensuring data integrity, accuracy and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded following double-entry accounting principles
- Monthly Closings: Assist in the monthly financial closing process by preparing various journal entries and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Financial Analysis: Perform regular financial analyses to help identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Supporting Schedules: Create and maintain detailed schedules supporting financial statement line items.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions match bank records, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and analyze expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records and supporting documentation.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports as directed by the finance manager
Technical & Professional Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles
- Understanding of local tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use formulas and pivot tables
- Proficient in using accounting software (preferably Microsoft Dynamics)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial data
- Ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ethical standards and integrity
