Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between importers/exporters and government authorities to ensure compliance with customs regulations and facilitate the smooth movement of goods across international borders.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely customs documentation, including import/export declarations, customs clearance forms, and other required paperwork.
- Classify goods according to customs tariff codes and determine applicable duties, taxes, and fees.
- Verify the accuracy of commercial invoices, packing lists, and other supporting documents to ensure compliance with customs requirements.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics partners to ensure the timely clearance and release of shipments.
- Communicate and resolve any customs issues or discrepancies that may arise during the customs clearance process.
- Stay updated with changes in customs regulations, trade laws, and international trade agreements to ensure compliance and provide guidance to clients.
- Provide advice and guidance to clients on customs compliance, duty optimization, and other trade-related matters.
- Maintain records of customs transactions, including import/export documents, for auditing and regulatory purposes.
- Collaborate with customs authorities and participate in customs audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
Pay: BD550.000 - BD600.000 per month
