Roles and Responsibilities:
The role of a Planning Engineer in the aluminum industry involves overseeing and coordinating various aspects of the planning process to ensure efficient and effective operations. Here are the key responsibilities associated with this role:
1. Production planning: The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing production plans based on demand forecasts, resource availability, and production capacity. This includes creating schedules, determining production targets, and optimizing production sequences to meet customer requirements.

  1. Resource allocation: The Planning Engineer allocates resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials to different production activities. They ensure that resources are utilized effectively and efficiently to meet production targets while minimizing waste and downtime.

  2. Inventory management: The Planning Engineer monitors inventory levels of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods. They collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and optimize inventory levels to avoid excess or shortage.

  3. Production optimization: The Planning Engineer analyzes production processes and identifies opportunities for improvement. They work closely with production teams to implement process enhancements, reduce bottlenecks, and increase overall productivity.

  4. Capacity planning: The Planning Engineer assesses the production capacity of the aluminum industry and plans for future expansions or modifications. They analyze market trends, demand forecasts, and technological advancements to determine the need for additional capacity and propose investment plans accordingly.

  5. Performance monitoring and reporting: The Planning Engineer tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, such as production output, efficiency, and quality. They generate reports and provide insights to management on production performance, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.

Pay: RO400.000 - RO500.000 per month

  • Bachelor's (preferred)
