Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manage and Enhance Digital Applications

  • Manage workflows, user access, and system configurations to optimize functionality and security.
  • Oversee the delivery of training programs and user support initiatives, ensuring faculty and staff are equipped to effectively utilize digital tools and systems.

2. Develop and Implement Digital Solutions

  • Design, develop, and deploy custom digital solutions to address user and organizational requirements.
  • Monitor and update systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and alignment with institutional policies.

3. Ensure Data Governance and Security

  • Implement and maintain robust data governance practices, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage access controls and user permissions to maintain data security and integrity.

4. Optimize Digital Infrastructure and Processes

  • Analyze usage patterns and resource allocation to identify opportunities for cost optimization and performance improvements.
  • Regularly review digital systems to enhance efficiency and ensure alignment with operational goals.

5. Provide Technical Leadership and Support

  • Act as a technical resource for faculty and staff, addressing issues and providing guidance on the effective use of digital tools.
  • Mentor team members to build technical expertise and foster innovation in developing solutions.

6. Contribute to Strategic IT Initiatives

  • Collaborate on the development and refinement of IT policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Support the institution’s strategic goals by aligning digital solutions with organizational needs and objectives.

Requirements:
Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • A graduate degree in a related field is desirable.
  • Professional certification in a related field is desirable.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in information technology management, preferably in an academic or higher education setting.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills with peers, leadership, and external constituents, including the business community.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in information technology.
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly while managing numerous projects simultaneously.
