Your new role, what's involved?
- Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with Omani regulations and international standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits for maritime construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with local and international maritime safety laws and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and improve safety performance through regular site inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Ensure effective emergency response planning and drills for marine and construction-related activities.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and stakeholders to address HSE compliance matters.
- Promote a safety-first culture by engaging with all levels of the workforce and fostering proactive safety leadership.
- Prepare and submit HSE reports, documentation, and compliance records as required.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of HSE experience, preferably in maritime, construction, or offshore projects.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and local HSE regulations.
- Certified in NEBOSH IGC/ Diploma, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent safety certifications.
- Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver HSE training programs.
- Proficiency in HSE reporting and documentation
