Job Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons covering music theory, instrumental practice, and vocal techniques.
- Teach students to play a variety of musical instruments and develop their listening, composing, and performance skills.
- Encourage creativity through songwriting, improvisation, and music composition activities.
- Organize and prepare students for school concerts, recitals, and music competitions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that nurtures students' confidence and passion for music.
- Assess student progress through assignments, performances, and reports while providing constructive feedback.
- Integrate technology and digital music production into lessons where applicable.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music curriculum and extracurricular programs.
- Participate in school activities, including cultural events and talent showcases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in music education.
- Proficiency in teaching various musical instruments (piano, guitar, violin, etc.) and vocal training.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum (preferred but not mandatory).
- Passion for music education, performance, and student engagement.
