About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Platform Infrastructure Manager to lead a high-performing team of Business Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) within the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) organization. This role is responsible for managing infrastructure reliability ensuring operational excellence, strategic alignment, and continuous improvement. The manager will oversee a team of Senior Lead, Lead, and Operations Engineers, driving execution of reliability engineering practices, incident response, automation, and platform modernization.
In This Role, You Will:
- Lead and manage a team of systems operations engineers across multiple levels, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-scale systems and network infrastructure.
- Provide strategic direction and technical guidance for resolving complex and high-impact production support issues.
- Partner with senior leadership to align systems operations strategies with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including systems reviews, process enhancements, and adoption of industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with technical process controls, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support change management, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- Manage resource allocation, project prioritization, and operational risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set direction and priorities for infrastructure reliability engineering across platforms
- Ensure consistent execution of incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortem practices
- Oversee development and implementation of automation frameworks and observability solutions
- Support hybrid cloud migration and platform modernization initiatives.
- Represent the team in enterprise forums, working groups, and leadership reviews
- Monitor team performance, identify skill gaps, and implement training and development plans
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of Systems Engineering and Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
- 3+ years working in production support within a Financial Institution or related industry

- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate and implement long-term solutions
- Experience operating in a highly matrixed and dynamic organizational structure
- Proven experience managing production support in complex, high-demand environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery teams and drive resolution of complex technical issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in systems operations and infrastructure

Pay Range
$159,000.00 - $305,000.00
