Department Summary:
The Occupational Health Service (OHS) provides occupational health care to the Boston Children’s Hospital workforce for the purpose of protecting and promoting the health, safety, and well-being of staff and their work environment. Through partnership with the Vaccine Clinic, OHS facilitates on-campus vaccine clinics in Boston and at several of our satellite locations each year. This is a temporary 40 hour/week position (7:30a - 4:00p), Monday - Friday, with possible weekend responsibilities. This position will run from mid-September through the end of November, with possibility of extension based on clinic and team needs. This position is 100% onsite in Boston.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative and customer service support to the Vaccine Clinic and Occupational Health Services teams.
  • Training in both Occupational Health Services (OHS) workflow and OHM (employee medical records system).
  • Checking both BCH staff and patients in for vaccine appointments.
  • May assist with accompanying OHS clinicians to off-site vaccine clinics.
  • Assisting with updating documentation for staff who have received vaccines externally from BCH.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED required.

Experience:

  • Previous healthcare and/or customer service experience required.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office - especially Excel and Outlook - required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and excellent time management skills.
