Job Summary:
Sales Representative

Walt Disney Studios Theatrical Distribution aligns sales, in-theatre marketing, and business planning & strategy into a single business segment to create and deliver best in class personalized entertainment experiences to consumers and audiences in theatres in the US & Canada.

Oversee all sales responsibilities in a specific territory of the U.S. for all theatrical releases from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. This includes

Responsibilities:
Sales & Booking:

  • Overseeing the booking of all films (Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Lucas Films, 20th, & Searchlight) in 5 Metro areas in the South-East (Nashville, Greenville/Asheville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Tri-Cities).
  • Weekly negotiating with exhibitors on holdovers to maximize box office revenue.
  • Specifically, on number of prints and different types of print formats (2D, 3D, Premium Large Format and IMAX)

Accounts receivable, box office report & gross entry:

  • Responsible for all A/R responsibilities pertaining to designated sales territory including invoicing and collection of film rental payments & missing box office reports.
  • Oversees roughly 30 million in Disney BO revenue annually.

Sales area research and analytics

  • Analysis of weekly movie showtimes and pricing for all locations in your territory to ensure they are all in compliance with our company policies and regulations.
  • Market studies on trends or shifts in the marketplace based on changing conditions (i.e. theatre openings/closures, changes in pricing, and more)

Assist with marketing material placement requests & theatre visits
- Effectively communicate our trailering requests to exhibition on a weekly basis, visit a designated local theatre regularly to ensure that our marketing materials are prominently placed in theatre lobbies, maintain ongoing relationships with theatre managers at the designated local theatre.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS required, experience in Distribution or Exhibition is preferred.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to build relationships
  • Strong time management and decision-making skills
  • Organized team player with the ability to manage concurrent projects with attention to detail and related analytics
  • General and working knowledge of movies and the entertainment industry, both historical and current is a plus.
  • Must be available on some nights and weekends to visit theaters during the opening weekends of our films.
