The Maintenance Technician A position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made.
  • Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind.
  • Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts.
  • Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed.
  • Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations.
  • Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes.
  • Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in a organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably.
  • Follow all required procedures as required by role.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • High school diploma
  • Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee performing Preventive (planned) and Corrective (unplanned) Maintenance
  • Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas:
    Mechanical- Power Transmission - chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.-
  • Hydraulics & Pneumatics - valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, etc.

Electrical

  • DC Circuits - relays, contactors, power supplies, etc.
  • AC Circuits (120V to 480V) - motors, drives, transformers, etc.
  • Process Control
  • Industrial Automation - robotics, PID, machine control, etc.
  • PLCs & Networking - communication, signals, I/O, LANs, etc.

Desired:

  • Associates degree or 2+ years of vocational training
  • Experience with maintenance technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasound Inspection, Oil Analysis, and Precision AlignCertifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.)
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT)
