Job Overview
Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items that align with seasonal offerings and customer preferences.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Participate in food production for both regular service and special events, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs and preferences.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a fine dining or banquet setting.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff.
- Excellent knowledge of food management practices, including food safety regulations.
- Proficient in supervising kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality control.
- Experience in menu planning and food production techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
