Assistant Superintendent:
Where you fit in:

  • Support estimators as required
  • Assist Project Manager as needed
  • Assist Superintendent in developing Logistics Plan for ITB
  • Provide scheduling support to Superintendent
  • Solicit information from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Assist Superintendent with look-ahead schedules
  • Participate in subcontractor meetings
  • Coordinate shutdowns or work impacting other building occupants with Superintendent
  • Keep the site clean and well labeled
  • Support Corporate Safety Officer efforts
  • Monitor and ensure all subcontractors and Richmond staff are complying with site specific safety requirements
  • Ensure 100% PPE compliance
  • Support all design team members in receiving job-specific safety training
  • Turn in slips weekly
  • Turn in expense reports monthly
  • Assist with keeping adequate Super's log
  • Ensure punch list is resolved quickly
  • Support training efforts
  • Support last-minute equipment changes, blocking changes, and other minor issues
  • Assist with correcting any warranty issues

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized, self-motivated
  • Effective communication skills (interoffice and with clients)
  • Team player with ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage projects
  • Strong work ethic and personal integrity, can-do-attitude
  • Technology savvy, proficient in Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Required education and experience
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering, architecture, and/or construction management
  • Minimum of three years' related experience
