Job Title: Medical Technician ( Phlebotomist )
Location: White River Junction
Duration: Full Time
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, and special collection procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Verify patient identity and ensure proper specimen labeling and documentation.
- Prepare, handle, and transport laboratory specimens in compliance with VA and federal guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and specimen collections.
- Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and clinical teams to support patient care needs.
- Maintain supply inventory and ensure availability of required instruments.
- Uphold professionalism and provide excellent patient service.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of recent phlebotomy experience required.
- Phlebotomy Training Certificate - Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program. Often includes classroom instruction, lab practice, and clinical experience
- Technical Proficiency: Must be proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government’s requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Phlebotomy training program or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
- Certifications: Current BLS (AHA preferred
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
