Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding;
- Administer resident medications and treatments under the direction of the administrator and DON;
- Oversee daily care services to ensure compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and individualized care plans;
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure);
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment;
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional condition to the administrator and DON;
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents and staff;
- Assist in the delivery of restorative and rehabilitative care as instructed;
- Document care provided accurately and timely;
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents;
- Follow infection control and safety procedures; and
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure a comprehensive plan of care for residents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA, LNA, or other healthcare credential preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
- Strong understanding of dementia-related behaviors and person-centered care principles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must pass all required background checks
