ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Assistant Project Manager (Solar) is responsible for assisting project team with administrative tasks focusing on document control for plans, equipment, permits, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manage health and safety and environmental compliance of all assigned projects.
- Remain positive and innovative when faced with partial design developments, challenges, opportunities, and changes.
- Assist with the oversite and coordination of project milestones and ensure contractors, vendors, and sub-contractors adhere to strict guidelines and procedures.
- Assist with all aspects of the project budget capacity, schedule, change orders, and client expectations.
- Assist with building and understanding preconstruction estimating and bidding, schedules, commitments, and contracts.
- Work collaboratively with project team to maximize productivity.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance.
- Drive quality and profitability to meet or exceed company objectives.
- Attending occasionally leading, regular project review meetings - internal and external.
- Review and verify accuracy of invoices received for all projects.
- Closely monitor project progress, scope of work, and construction quality.
- Effectively manage communication between all project stakeholders.
- Assist with managing equipment logistics in accordance with project schedules.
- Assist with the planning and execution of all assigned projects.
- Assist with procuring materials and other items necessary for completing project goals.
- Acts as the liaison between the company, clients, and utility organizations.
- Report updates verbally and in written form to the vested parties.
- Solar industry specific field testing and project closeout documentation.
- Conduct monthly site visits.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to read and understand Electrical, Structural, & Civil drawings.

- Ability to conduct monthly site visits.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to engage in repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands, or fingers.
- Must be able to move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Education and Experience:
- Technical or Trade School certificate or diploma
- Valid Drivers license
- 1-3 years of experience in solar or electrical work; knowledge of mechanics preferred.
- Knowledge of industry health and safety laws.
- Knowledge of the industry standards for QAQC.
- OSHA 10
- NABCEP certification preferred.
