Key Roles & Responsibilities (As per CBSE Norms)

Academic Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in accordance with CBSE curriculum and guidelines
  • Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and remedial strategies
  • Ensure effective classroom management and a positive learning environment
  • Conduct regular assessments, evaluate answer sheets, and maintain academic records
  • Identify learning gaps and provide remedial/enrichment support
  • Integrate experiential learning, competency-based education, and NEP 2020 practices
  • Use smart boards, digital tools, and ICT-enabled teaching methods

Student Development

  • Mentor and guide students for academic and personal growth
  • Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain discipline and promote ethical values among students
  • Communicate student progress effectively with parents

School & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Participate in school activities, events, assemblies, and examinations
  • Maintain CBSE-mandated documentation and academic records
  • Support school initiatives, trainings, workshops, and inspections

Educational Qualifications

PRT:

  • D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed
  • CTET (preferred)

TGT:

  • B.Ed (mandatory)
  • CTET qualified (preferred)

PGT:

  • B.Ed (mandatory)

Qualifications must be from recognised universities as per CBSE norms.

Experience

  • Teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school will be preferred
  • Experience with board classes (X/XII) preferred for PGTs
