Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using Toast POS system.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and upselling opportunities.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our fine dining standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address any concerns promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math for bill processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting them for new guests as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Engage in guest relations to foster repeat business and enhance overall experience.
Requirements:
- Previous restaurant experience is required, particularly in fine dining or upscale establishments.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food handling practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance sales performance.
- Basic math skills for accurate billing and cash handling procedures.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety regulations is essential.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well under pressure are crucial for success in this role.
