Café Assistant (School Holidays)
Employer: Acorn Venture Association
Location: Acorn Farm, Depot Road, Kirkby, L33 3AR
Reports to: Café Manager
Role Purpose
Assist the Café Cook and support daily café operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve hot and cold drinks, snacks, and take food orders
- Operate the till
- Wash, dry, and store cutlery, crockery, and utensils
- Maintain cleanliness in the café and outdoor seating areas
- Clear and wipe tables
- Cover staff lunch breaks
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Strong standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for customer service
Terms & Conditions
- Hours: Mon - Fri 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM (School Holidays)
- Pay: National Minimum/Living Wage
- Holiday: 6 days (pro rata equivalent of 5.6 weeks per annum)
Please note: Mobile phones must remain on silent during working hours and used only in emergencies.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
