Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their needs, providing product information and recommendations.
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts.
• Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure the shop is well-stocked and organized through regular stocking and inventory checks.
• Promote upselling opportunities by suggesting additional items or services to increase sales.
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products, services, or event schedules while practicing excellent phone etiquette.
• Assist with supervising Golf Shop operations when needed, ensuring smooth daily functions and excellent customer service standards.
• Assist with managing the outside golf staff to ensure the course is set up and ready to play.
• Open and close building and ensure property is stored and secured.

Experience

• A basic understanding of golf course procedures and the sport of golf.
• Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially in a golf shop or similar environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math calculations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Experience in supervising or leading small teams is a plus, showcasing leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product presentation strategies.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves and standing for extended periods.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
