Position Overview:
In our Greencastle location, we are responsible for packing and shipping eggs to stores all over the United States. The Quality Control Technician will check eggs as they move on the conveyor over light through the candling booth. They will also be responsible for finished goods testing.
Position Responsibilities:
- Inspect the eggs at multiple stages of the processing process.
- Be aware of the blending changes as lot swaps occur.
- Ensure that all egg types are placed into the correct carton
- Ensure the correct dates are being used.
- Segregate eggs by dirts for rework and leakers into the waste barrels.
- Collect samples in a timely and efficient manner
- Clean-up work area at days end
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Processing experience preferred
- Quality experience preferred
Company Schedule:
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30 PM - 5:00 AM
Schedules may vary based on truck arrivals, order fulfillment needs, machine breakdowns, or changes in production demands. Flexibility is required, as start and end times may adjust slightly to meet operational needs.
