This paid part-time position is perfect for individuals passionate about food service, quick service environments, and working outdoors or in mobile settings. The culture is young and vibrant— we are looking for artists, those in school, recent graduates, or anyone looking for a part-time job with some barista or food-service experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble raw fish temaki-style handrolls safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
• Operate POS systems to process sales accurately and handle cash transactions with precision.
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales opportunities.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the truck’s kitchen area, food prep stations, and serving windows in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Manage time effectively to ensure quick turnaround times during busy service periods.
• Assist with food handling and maintaining overall cleanliness of the serving area.
• Follow all food safety protocols including proper food storage, sanitation practices, and safe handling procedures to ensure customer safety.
• Depending on driving experience level, driving the food truck to and from the commissary.

Qualifications (required)

• Ability to transport self to a variety of locations within the Los Angeles area.
• Previous experience in food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafes, or food trucks.
• Weekend availability.

Qualifications (Not Required but Preferred)

• Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
• Strong customer service skills with an energetic attitude and a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
• Ability to drive a school-bus sized vehicle on both residential roads and highways.
• Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, register operations, and inventory management.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.87 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 32 per week
