Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing windows across various residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards, quality expectations, and client specifications. Responsibilities
- Measure window openings accurately using blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Prepare work sites by removing old windows, framing openings, and setting up necessary scaffolding or ladders.
- Install new windows with precision using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure secure fitting and proper sealing.
- Perform trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and fixture installation to enhance window aesthetics and functionality.
- Conduct heavy lifting of window units and related materials safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Read schematics and blueprints to coordinate with other trades such as metal stud framing, drywall installation, or remodeling projects.
- Assist in the fabrication or manufacturing of custom window components when necessary.
- Complete remodeling tasks including door hanging, cabinet installation, or construction painting as part of comprehensive project execution.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and ensuring safety standards are followed at all times.
Experience
- Prior construction site experience with a focus on window or glass installation is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and other relevant equipment.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and fabrication processes within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with carpentry techniques such as trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and fixture installation.
- Experience in remodeling projects including drywall finishing, painting, cabinetry work or maintenance person tasks is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction painting, glass handling, and working at heights.
