Responsibilities:
SMTS SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
Who you are:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and analyze existing compiler and runtime code to identify performance and scalability bottlenecks
- Analyze generated GPU code (IR, ISA) to reduce register pressure, improve memory access, and increase occupancy
- Debug and resolve performance regressions and correctness issues impacting ISV workloads
- Collaborate with core compiler, driver, and hardware teams when deeper root-cause analysis is required
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years of professional experience in low-level systems, compiler, or GPU software development.
- Strong C/C++ skills with experience working in large, performance-critical codebases
- Solid understanding of compiler internals
- Strong knowledge of GPU architecture and execution models
- Proven ability to analyze disassembly / generated GPU ISA
- Strong Linux development and debugging experience
NICE TO HAVEEXPERIENCE:
- Experience with ROCm software stack
- Familiarity with AMDGPU backend and ISA
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
