Job Purpose
Shall be responsible for one of the Manufacturing locations to lead HSE function.LocationMundraDepartmentEHSReporting toHead
- EHSJob ResponsibilityØ Conduct routine safety rounds in plant areas and identify unsafe acts and conditions.Ø Ensure all workers are using appropriate PPE as per job and area requirements.Ø Monitor housekeeping, spillages, and waste disposal in compliance with 5S and ISO 45001 standards.Ø Support control of entry into height work, hot work areas and confined spaces.Ø Conduct toolbox talks and pre-job briefings to communicate task-specific hazards and controls.Ø Monitor contractor compliance with safety norms, PPE usage, and site rules.Ø Report violations or near-miss incidents immediately to the Safety Officer.Ø Record daily safety observations and prepare checklists.Ø Support incident/near-miss investigation by providing factual inputs and photographic evidence.Ø Maintain records of PPE issue and inspection checklists.Ø Assist in issuing, verifying, and closing Permit to work for high-risk activities such as hot work, height work and electrical isolation.Ø Ensure that barricading, signage, and safety precautions are in place before starting the job.Ø Participate in safety induction and refresher training sessions.Ø Encourage workers to report unsafe acts and suggest safety improvements.Ø Display and maintain safety posters and visual aids in work areas.Ø Assist in maintaining fire extinguishers, first-aid boxes, and emergency equipment in operational condition.Ø Support mock drills and evacuation exercises.QualificationITI/Diploma/Science Graduate with Industrial Safety certification
Experience2-3 Years in Plant safety or EHS supervision preferably in manufacturing/recycling/chemical sectors.Industry PreferredManufacturingRequired knowledge/ competenciesØ Knowledge of industrial safety rules and regulations.Ø Familiarity with Permit system and basic hazard identificationØ Good communication skills to engage shopfloor and contractor workersØ Alertness, discipline, and teamwork and basic computer literacyBenefitsØ EPF, Bonus, Gratuity etc (As applicable)Ø Group Medical Insurance and Group Personal accident insuranceØ UniformJob Snapshot - Updated Date
