Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Roll-Up Door Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial roll-up doors. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in the field while delivering high-quality service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial roll-up doors, including steel, aluminum, and high-cycle doors
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and perform efficient repairs
- Replace and adjust components such as slats, barrels, springs, guides, operators, and safety devices
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and recommend repairs or upgrades
- Safely troubleshoot and service manual and motorized roll-up door systems:
- Read and interpret work orders, technical manuals, and schematics
- Ensure all work complies with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations
- Maintain accurate service documentation and job reports
- Operate service vehicles, tools, and equipment in a safe and professional manner
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working with commercial or industrial roll-up doors (preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with door operators, controls, and safety systems a plus
- Ability to safely handle springs, tension systems, and heavy door components
- Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
