We are currently partnering with a premium performance sportswear brand to recruit an experienced and commercially driven Deputy Store Manager for their Kildare location.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong retail leader who is passionate about sport, performance, and premium customer experience, and who enjoys supporting store performance through people development, operational excellence, and brand standards.

The Role:
As Deputy Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in the day-to-day leadership and commercial performance of the store, acting as a role model for both service and standards. You will play a key role in driving sales, customer experience, visual presentation, and team engagement, while stepping up to lead the store in the Store Manager’s absence.

Key Responsibilities:
Commercial & Sales Performance:

  • Support the delivery of store sales targets and KPIs
  • Analyse performance and identify opportunities to drive conversion, ATV, and UPT
  • Lead the team on the shop floor, setting the pace for service and selling standards
  • Support the execution of promotions, launches, and trading priorities

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members
  • Coach and develop the team to deliver high-performance selling and customer experience
  • Support performance management, feedback, and development planning
  • Act as a strong role model for behaviour, attitude, and brand values

Customer Experience:

  • Deliver a premium, performance-led customer journey aligned with brand standards
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and effectively
  • Drive a culture of customer focus, product knowledge, and service excellence

Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of VM guidelines and floor layouts
  • Ensure the store environment is clean, commercial, and on-brand at all times
  • Support seasonal floor moves, new product launches, and promotional changes

Operations & Compliance:

  • Support day-to-day store operations including stock control, deliveries, and back-of-house organisation
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, security, and company procedures
  • Support rota planning, payroll accuracy, and administrative tasks

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager / Senior Supervisor in a premium or performance-led retail environment
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive sales and KPIs
  • Confident people leader with experience coaching and motivating teams
  • Passion for sport, performance, and premium brands
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Flexible to work across a rotating rota including weekends
