Early Years Practitioner (Full Time - 39 hours per week):

Our Lady of Lourdes Early Years Service is a purpose-built, community-based service offering high quality care and education to children aged 6 months to 5½ years. We are part of Our Lady of Lourdes Community Services Group, a community hub delivering wrap-around supports including family support, youth services, afterschools, adult education and senior supports.

We are now seeking a passionate and motivated Early Years Practitioner to join our team.

This role is about more than childcare. It is about building relationships, supporting families, and creating a safe, nurturing and playful environment where children can thrive. You will work closely with the Team Leader in the assigned playroom, and support best practice across the service.

  • Minimum Level 5 in Early Childhood Care & Education
  • Strong knowledge of Aistear and Síolta
  • A good understanding of Children First and child protection
  • Experience working in community settings
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • FAR and Children First certification
  • Confidence using ICT systems
  • A warm, flexible and proactive approach

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting high quality practice across your room and team
  • Ensuring children’s wellbeing, safety and development are central
  • Working closely with parents and families
  • Supporting curriculum planning and observation
  • Assisting with compliance and quality standards
  • Acting professionally, ethically and with initiative at all times
